Laughing Liberally Milwaukee, a monthly progressive political comedy show founded in 2016, is the local chapter of Laughing Liberally, a national organization of progressive comedians who use humor and laughter to spread understanding of liberal ideas and advance progressive values.
Laughing Liberally Milwaukee is also a twice monthly podcast brought to you by the Shepherd Express.
In late 2024, the show expended to the state’s capitol with Laughing Liberally Madison.
All three are hosted by comedian, cartoonist, satirist and progressive talk radio host Matthew Filipowicz. Matthew’s work have been featured on CNN, NPR, PBS, HBO, BBC, Ain’t It Cool News, the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, the Atlantic, the Nation, the London Times, and countless sites in the progressive blogosphere including Salon, Daily Kos and the Huffington Post.
